I am a southern-rooted girl who grew up in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It was there where at age 14, I worked for a Dolly Parton tourist attraction where I took souvenir photographs. I started borrowing some of the camera equipment to take home and practice taking different kinds of photos as photography had really started to peek my interest. After three years, I decided to dabble in modeling at the age of 17. It didn't take me long to realize that I had left my passion behind; I was on the wrong side of the camera.
After several long years, and moving to a foreign country (Japan) at the age of 25, I picked up where I left off as a teenager and have now established a successful photography business which is both Nationally and Internationally published and recognized in dozens of magazines and print ads.
My daughter Avigail, my dog Muffy and I
I spent three years (from 2005-2008) working and studying abroad in Japan. Living in another country was a gratifying experience which allowed me to learn a different culture, a different language and photograph some of the most amazing people, sites and architecture in the world. In late 2008 I returned to my southern roots in Tennessee and was soon blessed with a beautiful daughter, Avigail.
In 2015 my daughter was discovered as a child model and is currently walking in my footsteps. With this new door opening for Avigail, a door has also been opened for me. I began photographing fashion events and clothing lines for well known as well as upcoming fashion designers and clothing boutiques. My photography has been published in more than two dozen fashion and model magazines.
My photography style is colorful and unique. I love a challenge and have never yet met a photography challenge that I didn't want to try. I hope I continue the next 20 years meeting amazing people and traveling the world clicking my shutter along the way.
